This interactive professional learning session equips K–12 school counselors and educators with practical, evidence-based Tier 1 and Tier 2 behavioral and social-emotional development strategies they can implement within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Participants will explore how school counselors can lead, collaborate, and consult with educators to create supportive learning environments that promote self-regulation, positive relationships, responsible decision-making, and a sense of belonging.
Grounded in the ASCA National Model and comprehensive school counseling program practices, this session emphasizes the school counselor’s role in delivering preventive, proactive, and data-informed supports that remove barriers to learning while fostering students’ academic, career, and social-emotional development. Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies to improve student engagement, reduce behavioral concerns, and strengthen school climate through intentional school counselor–educator partnerships.
